Progress on WTA's work in the Teanaway

The Teanaway is a favorite among WTA staff. And now, this area is even better for outdoor recreation with the addition of the Teanaway Community Forest. The entire region offers stupendous recreation opportunities just beyond the hubbub of the most popular parts of the I-90 corridor. WTA is working on a future-looking trail network that will accommodate the increasing demand in a sustainable way. Historic State Funding Wins for Trails, Equity After a Decade of Work

WTA and hikers helped secure some incredible, and lasting, wins for ongoing trail funding in the 2023 state legislative session. WTA's Emerging Leaders Program in partnership with Washington State Parks was also funded, along with a number of other important projects and programs around the state.
