WTA Surpasses 10,000 Facebook Fans

Last Thursday, WTA surpassed 10,000 fans on Facebook. It's a huge milestone, and one that we are really proud of. What a great community of hikers we have out there!

If you're currently on Facebook but not yet a fan, there are some great advantages to being one. I think the best one is that we filter the most important hiker news and tips on where to hike for you.

Beyond Trip Reports and the Hiking Guide, there is a lot of important information on wta.org, and we're adding more to the website every day. Unless you return often to the website, you're likely to miss something that would be useful to you.

Our Facebook page is a kind of greatest hits. In your newsfeed today, you'll find out that yesterday we published a feature on Twelve Great Wildflower Hikes and you'll learn about upcoming public meetings on the state budget, where the fate of recreation on state parks and Department of Natural Resources lands hangs in the balance.
