White Chuck Road Closed

A few tidbits of road news before the holiday:

The Forest Service has closed the White Chuck Road (Forest Service Road 23) where it intersects with Mountain Loop Highway to motorized AND foot traffic until Sept. 1. The White Chuck Road is ten miles south of Darrington on the Mountain Loop highway. Workers are repairing damage from the floods of 2003, 2006 and 2007. Also on the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, the Suiattle River Road (off the Mountain Loop Highway) and the Canyon Creek Road (off the Mt. Baker Highway) will be closed this summer.
