White Chuck Road Closed June 28 to Sept. 1, 2010.

A few tidbits of road news before the holiday:

The Forest Service has closed the White Chuck Road (Forest Service Road 23) where it intersects with Mountain Loop Highway to motorized AND foot traffic until Sept. 1. The White Chuck Road is ten miles south of Darrington on the Mountain Loop highway. Workers are repairing damage from the floods of 2003, 2006 and 2007. For more information contact the Darrington Ranger District at 360-436-1155.

Also on the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, the Suiattle River Road (off the Mountain Loop Highway) and the Canyon Creek Road (off the Mt. Baker Highway) will be closed this summer. You can read more about these projects and what trails are affected on these trails in our June 18th blogpost here.
