Give a Day to: Build a Bridge, Restore a Trail, Play in the Park
WTA works close to town and in the backcountry, six days a week, all year long. From a day in the park to building bridges in the Pasayten, we have several fun opportunities coming up to give back to trails.
WTA works close to town and in the backcountry, six days a week, all year long. We have several fun opportunities coming up to lend a hand to trails, whether you prefer a day in the mountains, or a more urban setting.

CHAMBERS CREEK
Join us for WTA's very first work parties on the Chambers Creek Canyon trail system just south of Tacoma! Work in a forested stream corridor between Lakewood and University Place. The rich vegetation, babbling creek, and high forested canopy creates a peaceful refuge in the middle of a dense urban area.
This is the first step in creating an urban hiking opportunity for the cities of Lakewood and University Place, as well as other residents of Pierce County.
We're working Friday and Saturday, but Saturday's work party is also Pierce County Trails Day! See you there.
BURCH MOUNTAIN

Multiple trail organizations are coming together in the Methow Valley to restore the long-neglected Burch Mountain trail, just north of Winthrop.
This is a team effort sponsored by the Methow Trails Collaborative, a group of trail users and advocates brought together by their dedication to the spectacular Methow Valley and its recreational opportunities.
Spend a weekend opening up and restoring the trail here. This trail has lots of downed trees and tread work needs as well as signage and drainage issues, so many hands will be well used. Camping is available, as well as a barbeque dinner on Saturday night.
WEST FORK PASAYTEN
We already shaped the bridge, but we still need help putting the finishing touches on it. Will you come help? Photo by Dianne Hofbeck.
A crew of folks already set a large log across this river deep in the heart of the Pasayten Wilderness. Now we need your help to complete the structure and finish making the way safe for hikers venturing into this sprawling wilderness.
Camping is available at nearby campgrounds all weekend -- we hope to see you there!
