New Faces at WTA
Washington Trails Association welcomes three new staff members to our Seattle office. Alexa Lindauer, Julie Cassata and Lisa Unsoeld-Chang have each joined us in the past month.
One you will see out doing trail work with kids. Another will answer your call when you phone the office. And the other will be helping to manage your membership with WTA. Who are they?
They are the three new staffers in the WTA office, and we are so happy to have them here as we embark on warmer weather (hopefully) and the official start of Hiking Season.
Alexa Lindauer is WTA's new Youth Specialist. She is both a seasoned trail worker and environmental education instructor, which makes her the perfect match for working on our youth trail program. You will find her in the field this spring and summer on youth work parties and Youth Vacations.
In April, Alexa will be leading two weeks of spring break trips for teens at King County's Spring Lake/Lake Desire Park and Cougar Mountain Regional Park. Kids 10 and up are encouraged to join us for one or more days during the week of April 9th and the week of April 16th. Those under 14 must have an adult accompanying them. >> See the schedule.
Julie Cassata is the friendly and knowledgeable voice you'll hear when you phone the office. She's our new Office Administrator and is essential to keeping our office running smoothly. In addition to being an amazingly detail-oriented person, she is a trail runner and recent Pacific Crest Trail thru-hiker. Last year, she started the PCT at the Mexico border in April and crossed into the Canada in October. Washington, of course, was her favorite section.
Lisa Unsoeld-Chang is our new Development Manager, which means she cares a lot about WTA members. If you are a member, don't be surprised if she knows your name when you meet her for the first time. She manages our corporate donor program and much of the behind-the-scenes work in our development department. That includes a special letter that members will receive in their mailboxes next week!
