Join us at Swan Creek Park this Winter

Posted by Anna Roth at Nov 01, 2016 12:45 PM |

Volunteer with us this month at a charming hidden gem in Tacoma.

WTA has been working at Swan Creek Park for nearly two years, and we need volunteers to keep improving the trails here. There are some muddy areas that need drainage, some slumping areas that need tread improvement, and the ever-present vegetation that needs to be cut back to improve hikers' experience here.

Swan Creek is a delightful hidden gem in the South Sound area, tucked between East Tacoma and Pierce County and featuring a salmon bearing stream, wooded canyon, upland forest, paved and natural trails, a community garden, and mountain bike trails.

About the work at Swan Creek Park

Like most of WTA's work parties, no experience is necessary to join us at Swan Creek but we do ask that you sign up two days prior to the work party you choose. We can teach you all you need to know to become a trail maintenance expert and will supply tools, snacks and a good time.

We have a few opportunities to help improve the trails over this month. Can you join us at one of the dates below?
