Hikers Gather to Celebrate Trails
Thanks to the nearly 600 people who gathered at Snoqualmie Point Park for our 50th Anniversary Celebration!
Now that our socks have dried out, we’d like to extend a hearty WTA “thank you” to the nearly 600 people who gathered on September 17 at Snoqualmie Point Park for WTA@50, Washington Trails Association's 50th Anniversary Celebration!
Despite less than stellar weather, hikers young and old had fun visiting with our partners and vendors, participating in activities and games and gathering in the beer garden to swap stories and plan their next adventures.
So many partners came together to help us celebrate – from Back Country Horsemen of Washington, to Latino Outdoors.
Among the many activities to participate in, attendees were invited to try out the crosscut saw to see what it's like to clear trails by hand.
More than 60 event volunteers braved the wind and rain to help make the event possible!

We'd also like to extend a special thanks to our title sponsors, Boeing and REI. Both companies supported the event through sponsorship dollars, in-kind contributions and volunteer hours.
Thank you to one and all for coming together to help WTA celebrate our 50th in style. Rain or no rain, we can tell the future of trails is bright!
Many thanks to all our generous WTA@50 partners and sponsors!
