It’s Jan. 23. WTA has already done a ton of trail work this year. We’re keeping busy down at the state Capitol. And we are extremely grateful for all of your great trip reports. Here’s some news you may have missed while out on trail this week.

Trip reporter RichP saw this moose pair on a hike a Steptoe Butte. While trip reports are full of useful information, they also have a lot fun photos and stories.

We fix ‘em, you hike ‘em: For WTA, every season is trail work season and we have already been busy in 2020. So far, we’ve had a ribbon cutting for brand new trails at Gold Creek County Park near Woodinville, a new loop is open at Tolt-MacDonald Park and we broke ground on other new projects. If you'd like to join us, we have plenty of upcoming work parties

What’s up in Olympia? The 2020 state legislative session kicked off last week. From funding state lands and wildfire prevention to No Child Left Inside, here's what we're working for and how you can take action today.

Trip reports are awesome! OK, so that’s not actually news; they’ve always been awesome. That said, trip reports are extra useful at this time of year when conditions change so fast. If you get outside, you should definitely write a trip report. And, in addition to being useful, trip reports are just fun to read. You might even see a moose and her calf! Or an unexpected mountain goat! Or an adorable pug!
