Hiker Headlines: Latina Trail Crew Works at Rainier, Libraries Help Hikers, Road Conditions

It’s Thursday, July 25. An all Latina crew got outside to give Rainier trails some much needed love. Look to your local library or your next hiking adventure. And WTA needs your help reporting on road conditions!

Here’s some hiker news you might have missed while out on trail this week:

Latinas outdoors: An all Latina work crew came together to live and work at Mount Rainier as part of Latino Conservation Week camp, hosted by Latino Outdoors and Washington Trails Association, in partnership with the National Park Service. We’re proud to partner with Latino Outdoors in helping to provide greater outdoor access for all.

Map it out: The Seattle Public Library offers an assortment of trail maps available for checkout or in-library use for regions all across Washington state. Additionally, some libraries also offer free checkout of Discover Passes. And of course, you can find hiking guides and other resources that help you plan your next outdoor adventure at your favorite library.

Road rage begone: Did you recently encounter troubles getting to your favorite trailhead? Help your fellow hikers out — file a trip report!
