It’s January 5. Happy New Year! Thanks so much to our members for an incredible 2022. Washington State Parks has a new logo. The campground reservation process in Olympic National Park is changing. And, you can now check out all of our Northwest Exposure Photo Contest winners. Here’s some news you may have missed while out on trail this week.

New year: Happy New Year from all of us at WTA! We hope you had a wonderful time kicking off the new year, and we look forward to what 2023 holds for us — and for you!

Thank you, members: We wanted to say thank you to our members — over 26,000! — for supporting us in 2022. It’s because of you that WTA is able to accomplish as much as we do, and we are so grateful to each and every one of you.

New logo: Washington State Parks has announced a logo change! Their new logo was created with their mission to make the outdoors accessible to everyone in mind, whether they are seasoned outdoorspeople or new to recreating outside.

Campground reservation in Olympic National Park: The campground reservation process has changed for the summer in 2023 for the Kalaloch, Mora, Hoh Rainforest and Fairholme campgrounds in Olympic National Park. The campgrounds will now be reservable in three staggered waves — some sites will be available to reserve six months in advance, some two weeks in advance and some four days in advance. Check Recreation.gov for further details.

Photo contest winners: Our 2022 Northwest Exposure Photo Contest is over, and our winners have been announced! It was so hard to pick the winners this year as we had so many incredible entries. A huge thank you to everyone who participated.
