Free entry to public lands on Veteran’s Day: Entry fees will be waived at all federal and state public lands on November 11 in honor of Veteran’s Day. This is the second-to-last free day of 2021.
Badger Mountain connection one step closer: A burgeoning trail system near the Tri-Cities continues to grow. A new donation will help fund the addition of 2.2 miles of trail on Little Badger Mountain Preserve.
Campsite notifications at state parks: Washington State Parks just unveiled a new feature on its website that allows visitors to set notifications for campsite openings. This new feature will make it easier to make reservations by getting up-to-date information when spots become available.
#CreateResponsibly pledge: The Recreate Responsibly coalition launched a new set of guidelines designed to help media creators and artists #CreateResponsibly. The guidelines cover ways for photographers, artists and other creatives to make content outdoors in a responsible way. By taking the pledge, creators will receive a badge to display alongside their content.
Help shape the future of trails: The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office wants to hear from you as they plan for the future of outdoor recreation in Washington. Take their quick survey to give your input on recreation, conservation, and trails planning.
