King County Parks construction will close some of the Cougar Mountain trail network through July. And join Golden Bricks Events for Sundaes Outside this Sunday, July 17 at Dash Point State Park. Artist Point road opening: The road to Artist Point has opened for the season after crews finished clearing the snow. Thanks to the Washington State Department of Transportation for their hard work!
Annette Lake trail closure: The Annette Lake trail will be closed starting July 15 due to construction by the Forest Service. The project is expected to be completed in October.
Cougar Mountain trail closure: The Wilderness Peak trail on Cougar Mountain will be closed from the Jim Whittaker Wilderness Peak trailhead from July 18 to 28 for bridge repairs by King County Parks. For most of this time, hikers can access Wilderness Peak using the Squak Connector trail to Wilderness Cliffs trail; the trailhead to the Squak Connector trail will be closed on July 18 and 19 for material staging.
