Harry and Ann were from Oregon. They met in Portland and moved to Washington when Harry went to work for Boeing after graduating from the University of Oregon. Trained as an architect, Harry helped Boeing design rockets; he retired in the 1980s.

Harry took his drawing skills into the outdoors as well, creating his own hand-drawn maps. A longtime hiker, Harry enjoyed doing trail work and shared numerous stories with his family about his adventures on WTA work parties. Ann also loved the outdoors and was an accomplished skier, avid gardener and volunteer, along with Harry, at the Bellevue Botanical Garden.

Harry and Ann’s generosity will help our volunteer trail maintenance program grow and expand our efforts to break down barriers to outdoor exploration.

It’s something that’s made the rest of their family proud.

“They made these decisions long ago and never guessed it would have such a tremendous impact,” their nephew Russ Weeks said.

WTA is extremely grateful to the Davidsons and their family for their generous support.
