Sunrise photos require a certain amount of dedication to capture, since they usually mean a painfully early start or some planning the night before. Get inspired by a view of the weekend sunrises from trails around Washington.

Every Monday morning, we spend a little time seeing where y'all spend the weekend hiking. From urban hikes to wildflower meadows to walks in the forest with your little ones, your adventures inspire us all week long. This week, a few sunrise-focused trip reports stopped us in our tracks.

Sunrise photos require a certain amount of dedication to capture, since they usually mean a painfully early start or some planning the night before. Thanks to these trip reporters (who did all the hard work) we got to sleep in AND enjoy a slice of their sunrise moments from around Washington.

"Camped at the trailhead and started out at 4am to catch the sunrise from the peak ..."

Sunrise from Hidden Lake Lookout

Hidden Lake Lookout is one of the more photogenic (if more challenging to reach) spots in Washington. This sunrise is spectacular, but angmw05's photo of the sunset the night before might have it beat.

"No rain, a beautiful sunset and sunrise made it all worth it..."

Sunrise ascent of Winchester Mountain Trail

"We headed out at 5 am and took our time taking photos and enjoying the sunrise. This hike is one of the most beautiful and scenic hikes I have ever been on and I'm thinking about making it an annual event..."
