BINGO! A Hike-a-Thoner Game Gives Back

Hike-a-Thon is about fun. It's also about hiking and giving back to trails while you hike. That's why we created a BINGO category to help get some recent trip reports for "under-documented" hikes.

In the first five days of August we had our first BINGO winner: the amazing, Spokane-based Hike-a-Thoner Holly Weiler is a WTA trail work volunteer, a member of Spokane Mountaineers, and an advisory committee member at Mount Spokane State Park.

Get in the game, get outside and win some amazing prizes

If you still want to get in the game for prizes (and hiking inspiration), it's not too late to register for Hike-a-Thon. You can still play hiking BINGO for some smaller prizes , and there are lots of other fun prize categories that you can still get in the running for, just by getting outside. Below are just a few:

Most nights under the stars. A prize is available for Hike-a-Thoner with the most overnight or multi-day trips with Trip Reports and photos submitted.

• Prize: Therm-a-Rest Sleeping Bag and NeoAir All Season Mattress.
  

Alpine Lakes Wilderness hikes and advocacy. To qualify for this drawing, Hike-a-Thoners will write a letter to their representative about supporting the expansion of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area and send a copy to us at WTA. For each trip report you submit from the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area, your name will be entered one time in the drawing. More hikes and Trip Reports are more chances to win!

• Prize: MSR Surelock TR-3 poles and guidebooks from Mountaineers Books.

Most WTA Trail Work Parties. For those trail work champions among you.
