Our phones are ringing off the hook with people looking for the 2011 Tribute to the Trails calendar.

Proceeds from the sixth annual calendar, produced by WTA members Glenn Tachiyama and Wendy Wheeler-Jacobs, benefit Washington Trails Association programs. Last year Glenn and Wendy raised more than $20,000 for WTA!

The Tribute to the Trails calendar features trail runners on trails in Washington and California - with beautiful photos and dates of trail running events throughout the country.

It's the perfect gift for folks who like to run on trail - or simply buy one for yourself. You can check out the photos of each month on the Tribute to the Trails Calendar Project Facebook page.

It can be purchased online at later this week or you can pick one up at a number of retail outlets, including:

  • The Balanced Athlete (Kent)
  • Fairhaven Runners (Bellingham)
  • Fit Right Northwest Running & Walking (Portland & Vancouver, WA)
  • Fleet Feet (Seattle & Bend, OR)
  • Route 16 Running & Walking (Gig Harbor)

Calendars are $20 at retail outlets and $23 online (includes shipping costs).

The calendars sell out (or close to it) each year. When asked why she thinks the calendar is so popular, Wendy replied, "Other trail runners share my love for the outdoors, and the calendar photos and race dates give us something to aspire to or daydream about while behind a desk." Thank you Wendy and Glenn!
