The Williams Lake Trail leads to a sweet lake at the base of La Bohn Peak off the Dutch Miller Gap Trail. From the junction, the trail climbs about a mile through sub-alpine forests and meadows stuffed with huckleberries, terminating at Williams Lake.
The trail and lake are surrounded by spectacular mountains like Summit Chief, which can make a nice reflection in the lake on a windless day. Tadpoles in streams and rocky granite fields surround the lake, and there are good campsites on the west side of the lake. An abandoned mine is on the far side, and a boot path leads to Chain Lakes and La Bohn Gap.
