Hiking Ahtanum State Forest - Whites Ridge

The Whites Ridge trail is a wonderful trail in the Ahtanum Forest. The hike takes you through the forest past views of Yakima Valley and Mount Adams.

The trailhead is open to equestrians and hikers from April 1 to November 30. The trailhead is only open to snowmobiles from December 1 to March 31.

Getting There

Drive 2 miles south from Yakima on I-82 to Union Gap. Take Ahtanum Road to Tampico then go west for 9.5 miles on A-2000 (Middle Fork Road). Continue 0.3 miles to Ahtanum Meadows located on the left.
