Hiking Whitehorse Trail

The Whitehorse Trail runs for 27 miles along an old railroad grade, connecting the towns of Arlington and Darrington. The route generally follows Highway 530 and the North Fork Stillaguamish River as it approaches the cascade foothills.

The trail is intended for hikers, bikers, and horseback riders and makes a great option for strolling away from the traffic of the highway. From Arlington, you can connect to the Centennial Trail. Most visitors choose not to travel the entire length of the trail, instead opting for a couple popular segments: Swede Heaven to Darrington, or Arlington to Trafton.
