Hiking Wenatchee Ridge Snowshoe (Lake Wenatchee Area)

This snowshoe route follows several forest roads to a viewpoint of Lake Wenatchee. Your starting point will depend on the snow levels and how far you are able to drive. Either park at the Lake Wenatchee State Park Sno-park or continue driving and park at the junction of Highway 207 and Forest Road 65.

Start walking up Forest Road 65. After about 4 miles, turn right onto Forest Road 6502 for about 1 mile. Turn right again onto Forest Road 6501 for 0.2 mile, then quickly left onto Forest Road 212. Walk 212 for about 2.5 miles to the viewpoint.

It’s a long walk to the viewpoint, so you can also turn around at any point along the road to get the mileage you want.

From Highway 2 at Coles Corner, head north on Highway 207 for 10.5 miles. This route starts at the junction of Highway 207 and Forest Road 65. Depending on winter conditions you may not be able to drive this far up Highway 207, if that's that's the case you can park at the Lake Wenatchee State Park Sno-Park. Or you may be able to drive farther along the route. In any case, park responsibly by not blocking the flow of traffic.
