Hiking Square Lake Park

Located near Port Orchard, Square Lake has a fishing pond, picnic opportunities and the chance to get a breath of fresh air close to home.

The area was formerly managed by Washington State Parks, but was identified as surplus and in October 2020 was officially transferred to KItsap County for management. Now visitors can visit this location without the use of  Discover Pass.

The trail system here is small; most people use the area for barbecues or fishing, but a short loop trail near the lake (notably though, not around the lake) makes for a nice way to stretch your legs.
