Hiking South Hill Bluff

This local location for after-work hiking in Spokane boasts nearly 25 miles of trails. From a flat traverse high above the railroad tracks to longer loops; there are many possible outings to be done at South Hill. 

Access points are near Polly Judd Park, off 21st and 29th Avenues, as well as Bernard and Division. The southernmost access point is on 57th. 

Trails plunge down the hillside to Hangman Creek and interlace and weave with each other to create a myriad of hiking options. Take a map, provided by Friends of the Bluff, to create your next favorite after-work outing here.

Getting There

Driving Directions

To access the 29th street entrance, drive west on 29th ave from Monroe Street. It's three blocks to the end of the road, then turn right at High Drive and immediately left into a South Hill Bluff trailhead parking area. More parking is available near Bernard Street, close to the turnaround for this hike.

TAKE TRANSIT

Make your hike car-free by taking the bus to this trailhead.
