The Snider Ridge Trail is part of a trail network that runs along the ridge just north of Highway 101 and east of Lake Crescent. Two trailheads access the trail: the Kloshe Nanitch trailhead on the west, and the Mount Muller trailhead on the east.
Both trailheads start low in the Sol Duc Valley, and get off to a brisk start ascending the slope to gain the ridge. Once on the ridge it's about 2.5 miles on the Snider Ridge Trail, which stays high. If you're travelling from west to east along the ridge, you will eventually arrive at Jim's Junction, which marks the end of the Snider Ridge Trail proper.
The Mount Muller loop trail extends out from here: stay straight to continue following the ridge for a while before circling back to the valley, or take a right hand turn and descend directly to the Mount Muller trailhead.
