This trail in the William O. Douglas wilderness climbs from the north side of Highway 12 through second-growth forest. It offers access to Spiral Butte and Shellrock Lake, among other lakes in this area. Hiking Sand Ridge

This trail in the William O. Douglas wilderness climbs from the north side of Highway 12 through second-growth forest.

From White Pass, travel 5.8 miles east on US 12. The trailhead is on the north side of the highway.
