Nestled on the eastern edge of the Tri-Cities, just east of Pasco, is a lovely little state park and accompanying interpretive center dedicated to Sacagawea, the Shoshone woman who was crucial to the success of the Corps of Discovery as they made their way to the Northwest Coast.
Complete with 1.2 miles of trails and a 0.5 mile ADA-accessible trail, this park also features outdoor, self-guided interpretive displays and framework representations of Native American dwellings.
Guided tours of these areas are available with a park interpretive specialist from April to November.
