Hiking Rock Mountain

The route to Rock Mountain is steep, but upon reaching the summit, hikers will find a staggering array of peaks in their line of sight. Look for Cathedral Peak off in the distance as well as Haig, Bauerman Ridge, Teapot Dome, Armstrong, Arnold Mountain, Horseshoe, and Pick Peak.

Linger at the summit and enjoy the anemones that litter the area as you have lunch, then meander back the way you came, looking for an are where a burn came through years ago. An alternate route of descent is dropping down the more northern side of the peak.
