Service roads allow you to snowshoe almost the whole way up to the top of Roaring Ridge, where views to the east and south are visible through the trees that surround you.
On the way up, Keechelus Ridge and the frozen lake below make for a nice view, but it is not visible from the summit.
Follow FR 9070 to the junction with 115, then take a left on 115 and cross the Cold Creek Bridge. The scramble starts about 500 feet after crossing the bridge on the open slope just below the power lines. The saddle between the north and the south peaks can be heavily corniced, be careful as you head up to the north peak. Think about taking lunch at a spot about 100 feet below the summit, where an open area allows for better visibility of your surrounding.
