This King County park is located on the eastern shore of the Raging River, just north of Preston. Arrive at the small parking area after crossing a historic bridge over the Raging River and head out on the trail.
This area is managed primarily as important riparian habitat, but there are a couple short trails, one heading into the upland portion of the property and the other following along the river. Depending on the water level, this lower trail may hit a submerged dead end shortly. Similarly, the upland trail may be overgrown or muddy depending on when maintenance has occurred.
The Raging River is a salmon spawning stream. This park is located a couple miles south from where the Raging flows into the Snoqualmie, and then eventually to the Puget Sound.
For some other nearby trails, the Preston-Snoqualmie Trail passes within a couple hundred feet of this trailhead. And just up the road toward Preston sits the Preston Mill Property which is now a park managed by King County.
