Hiking Potato Hill

Potato Hill is a summit just off from the Pacific Crest Trail in the Mount Adams Area. There is no trail to the summit, and the top marks the boundary to the Yakama Reservation, which is off-limits to the public. It is possible to access the summit but be respectful of tribal lands and do not venture further east.

No views available from the top and heavy brush on the flanks of the mountain.

Getting There

 From Trout Lake, take Mount Adams Road for 1.3 miles and then continue on Forest Road 23 towards ​Randle, following this road for approximately 23 miles.

Take Forest Road 2329 (towards Takhlakh Lake) and stay on 2329 for about about 10 miles. Then go right on Forest Road 5603 and travel for about 1.7 miles to the trailhead.
