Hiking Pinnacle Saddle Snowshoe

In winter this route requires avalanche awareness and training, routefinding and some mountaineering skills. Do your research, know how to navigate through avalanche terrain and have an understanding of mountaineering skills before attempting this trip.

The general route starts from the parking area at Paradise, then heads south to Reflection Lake. From about the mid-point along Reflection Lake’s south shore, cross the closed Stevens Canyon Road, heading south. Here is where the real routefinding begins as there are a few different bowls, ridges and passes ahead. The pass lies to the east of the Castle.
