Hiking Orangegate Park

Orangegate Park Is a large greenspace managed by Pierce County Parks. This parcel has a trail network that is still under development. WTA volunteers have worked here to develop these trails.

Orangegate Park can be thought of in two parts. The northern section is a perfect square, bordered by 4 streets, 84th Street on the north and 80th Street on the south.

The park continues south of 84th Street into an extensive area that includes a forested portion and an open area on the west side. Running diagonally through this southern portion is a gravel road that follows the Tacoma Water pipeline corridor.

As of 2021 this natural area is still under development, so expect no amenities and go comfortable navigating these unmapped trails when you visit.

WTA worked here in 2021!
