Hiking Mount Spokane State Park - Trail 260 (Snowshoe)

Start at the Selkirk Lodge (walk up the groomer trail from the lower lot if you parked there). Walk down the hill to the start of the Linder Ridge Nordic ski trail. You'll see a State Parks sign to your left, marking the start of the Trail 260 snow shoe trail (winter use only).

The trail goes downhill steeply for a few feet, and then you'll start to see a line of blue diamonds and pink trail marking tape on trees, roughly parallel to the Linder Ridge Nordic trail and angling down the hill below it. After a few minutes of side-hilling, you'll come to some easier terrain that follows an old road. Continue to follow the markers until they die out, where if you look left and right, you'll see you're on another old road, known as "Condo Road".

Once you reach Condo Road, you can go either direction for some distance. When you've had enough, return to where you started and climb back up the hill to the lodge.

WTA Pro Tip: Save a copy of our directions before you leave! App-based driving directions aren't always accurate and data connections may be unreliable as you drive to the trailhead.

Getting There

Take Highway 206 (Mount Spokane Highway) north to the park entrance. Continue on the park road to the intersection with the summit road (approximately 3.5 miles). Turn right and continue around the bend to Selkirk Lodge. You can also park in the big lot at the intersection and walk up from there, which is recommended if you have a Sno-Park permit without the grooming sticker.
