Hiking Middle Fork Connector Trail

Sharing a trailhead with the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Trail and the Pratt River Trail, this short and flat connector trail wanders through the forest on the banks of the Snoqualmie River, connecting the parking lot for the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River trail to Garfield Ledges trailhead.

Improved by WTA volunteers thanks to a puncheon about halfway through, this wide trail offers a short but sweet ramble. It's just the thing to tag onto the end of a long hike as a cool down, to introduce kids to hiking or to take a slow saunter for recovery from injury.

Spot Stegosaurus Butte through the trees, enjoy the lush moss, sit by the Taylor River while viewing Garfield Mountain, and get a quick dose of nature on this short ramble.

WTA Pro Tip: Save a copy of our directions before you leave! App-based driving directions aren't always accurate and data connections may be unreliable as you drive to the trailhead.

Getting There

Drive I-90 to exit 34 (Edgewick Road). Turn left (north) onto 468th Avenue and follow it to the junction with the Middle Fork Road (Forest Road 56). Turn right and continue up the Middle Fork Road for 11.8 miles to the Middle Fork trailhead parking area on the right. The trailhead is in the opposite corner of the main parking lot from the toilet. Don't confuse with the trail near the toilet that leads to the picnic area.
