Hiking McLellan Conservation Area

Easy trails wander through 410 acres of ponderosa pine forest jutting out into a bend of the "Long Lake" section of the Spokane River. Established as key wildlife habitat along the river, it's a nice little spot right outside Spokane for bird-watching. Keep your eyes peeled for nesting osprey, and keep dogs on leash (because of sensitive wildlife here).
