Hiking Lower Wildcat Lake

Lower Wildcat Lake offers an opportunity to get deeper into the backcountry past Snow Lake, while still on a formal trail.

From northeast side of Snow Lake, take the High Lakes Trail (1012) as it climbs past scenic Gem Lake, descends to Lower Wildcat Lake, and provides the jump-off point for the informal route to Upper Wildcat Lake.

Many hikers stop at Snow Lake, so once you get past it, you may enjoy a little more sense of solitude!
