The Lover's Lane trail follows the Sol Duc river upstream, connecting Sol Duc campground, Sol Duc Falls and the resort.
The first tree-lined mile is easy and beautiful, but However,as you proceed upstream, the trail gets a steeper, moving away from the river into a beautiful virgin forest of towering Douglas-firs, hemlocks, and a few Sitka spruce.
It continues to climb steeply to Sol Duc falls, visible from a bridge in an impressively lush canyon. Crossed the bridge, stop for some photos, and return to camp or the trailhead via a trail on the other side of the river for a nearly 6-mile loop hike.
