Hiking Larry Scott Trail

This trail starts on the waterfront in downtown Port Townsend and trends southwest from there. It makes for a great out-and-back route within the city and beyond. The trail is wide and relatively flat, so there is plenty of room to share with bikers and horseback riders. You can also start at the SW trailhead at four corners and head into Port Townsend.

In addition to this being a great day hike, it’s also the eastern terminus of the Olympic Discovery Trail, which extends west all the way to the Pacific Coast.

This trail is 10 feet wide and flat on varying types of surface material. The sections of the trail closer to town are less steep; as you get further from town, wheelchair users may need assistance navigating an increasingly steep grade.
