Hiking Lake People Park (Xacua'bs)

Xacua'bs (pronounced hah-chu-ABSH) is the Duwamish word for "Lake People" thus the name of this park. It has a small grassy area at the top with views to the east, a picnic table, bench, and some large rocks.

There's a long concrete staircase for quick access between the residential neighborhood at the top of the hill, and the more commercial area along nearby Rainier Ave below.

The park also includes a curving trail with stairs and some graveled sections through the natural area. Small signs beside the trail give information about the local flora.
