Hiking Lake Lois Habitat Reserve

The Lake Lois Habitat Reserve consists of 28.6 acres within the city of Lacey. You can take a hike on the 0.25-mile interpretive loop trail, and try to spot some local wildlife.  In the fall, the wooded trail is complete with changing autumnal colors. Relax on the beach or even go fishing in Lake Lois which is fed by Woodland Creek.

Getting There

There are a few parking spaces in the northeast corner of the Safeway grocery store parking lot that may be used by visitors to the Lois Lake Habitat Reserve. To get there from the I-5, take exit 109 towards Martin Way. After about 0.2 mile, continue to the right at the fork to merge onto Marin Way E. Continue on Martin Way E for a mile, then take a right at Carpenter Road SE. After around a mile, the Safeway will be on the left.
