While the park is tucked in the heart of neighborhoods, it feels like an isolated country woods experience. You may have the impression of having traveled back in time as you move from the modern parking lot to a more rural feel as you hike into the forest.

Skirt the edge of a basin-shaped wetland; part of the flood plain of Kelsey Creek. The moist environment creates the perfect habitat for a variety of wildlife species. Here you might spot winter wrens, rufous-sided towhees, maybe even a fox!

The loop is ideal for jogging, walking or bicycling and people of all ages will enjoy this retreat at any time of year.
