Hiking Keeney Park

This neighborhood park features a nice easy trail that passes a pocket forest on the right where deer can sometimes can be spotted. Once in the park the trail loops through second growth forest around a central grassy area. In the spring there are many flowers that adorn the trail. There are a few peek-a-boo views along the way.

Getting There

Starting from SR-520, exit on 148th St. NE for 0.3 mile. Turn left on Northup Way, and go for another 1.7 miles before arriving at the park on your right. There is no parking area for the park, so you will have to find street parking.

Take Transit:

Take the bus to the trailhead! Plan your trip using TOTAGO, or consult the schedule for King County Transit route 226, which stops at the intersection of Northup Way and NE 10th Street, a few hundred feet from the park.
