Jakle's Lagoon nature walk is a short loop trail with a descriptive guide found at the trail head and markers along the trail. You can make this a longer trip by turning off onto the trail to Mount Finlayson. The trail itself is easy to follow, with large nurse logs, ferns and firs. With easy access to Griffin Bay, you can lunch on the beach or continue on and explore the Lagoon and surrounding forest.
This national park site does not require a parking pass. There is a vistor center at American Camp on San Juan Island for more information as well as other hikes in the area.
