The Indian Trail is one of the main trails running through the western portion of Cougar Mountain.
Starting from the cul-de-sac at the end of 171 Southeast, the trail travels for a few hundred feet before reaching a junction with the Licorice Fern Trail on the left, an alternate access point for those wanting to add more miles.
Continue straight here for just under a half mile until the Indian Trail arrives at the junction with the Far Country Trail. Head right here if you want to take the side trip to the Far Country lookout, otherwise stay straight on the Indian Trail for another 0.2 mile. This next junction splits off to the left, accessing the De Leo Wall and Wildside Trails. Continuing straight, the Indian Trail goes for another half mile to its end, passing the turn for the Quarry Trail along the way.
