Hiking Hurley Road Snowshoe

Here's a nice roadwalk near the snowshoe trails in Blewett Pass. Follow the gradually climbing road through the quiet forest for several miles. Because it's a road, you may encounter snowmobiles, but that also means there's a good track to ski or snowshoe on. If you do elect to snowshoe, please stay to the side and do not walk in existing ski tracks.

Getting There

From Cle Elum, drive north on Highway 970, then Highway 97. Drive to the Old Blewett Pass Road. There is plowed parking here -- turn in, park your car, and then carefully cross Highway 97 and walk a couple hundred feet north along the highway to Road 9711 (the first road you come to on your right) The snowshoe route is along Road 9711, which follows Hurley Creek.
