In summer and fall this is a bikers' trail but come winter it makes a option for snowshoeing or cross country skiing. Year round, this route offers access to a peak known as Little Saint Helens.
Evergreen Mountain Bikers and the US Forest Service created the route by decommissioning old logging roads and arranged rocks, logs, and plantings to add visual distractions to this previous clear cut.
The trail extends as far as Harris Lake. Some users navigate up to Little Saint Helens beyond.
In summer of 2018, the Forest Service received a grant to improve the trailhead area. They revegetated the hillside with native trees and created three new picnic sites with fire ring barbeque grates. They also replaced the signs and added a bulletin boards with new information on the trail.
Families and groups can enjoy the view of Granite Mountain while picnicking at the trailhead. Also visible here are great views towards the Middle Fork Snoqualmie area and Snoqualmie Pass.
