Hiking Potholes State Park - Frenchman Hills Trail Loop

Potholes State Park mostly service picnickers and boaters, but there are 3 miles of trail to explore on the Frenchman Hills Trail Loop.

Head out from the main parking area, walking away from the water. Here, it is possible to do a loop, though a lack of maintenance means it is difficult to navigate.

The way is flat, and the views of the river make for a nice, peaceful stroll.

Getting There

Drive on I-90 to exit 137. Take exit 137 onto SR-26, heading east toward Othello and Pullman for 21 miles. Turn left onto Dodson Rd S and drive for 2.2 miles, then turn right onto road 12 SW and proceed for 4.0 miles.

Turn left onto Road A SE and drive 9.2 miles, then make another left and drive 0.6 miles to the parking area.
