Hiking Far Country

Visit a beautiful, many-tiered waterfall and a small lookout area on the west side of Cougar Mountain. Perfect for photos as well as an escape from the city.

Far Country Falls can be seen just off the Indian Trail, and from here to the Far Country Lookout it is a short hike uphill. From the Far Country Lookout, the view has been somewhat obscured by tree growth over the last 10 years, but the trail still provides excellent forest scenery and of course, the waterfalls. Enjoy the bench at the Far Country Lookout that offers somewhere to rest, or maybe have a snack.
