Hiking Escondido Lake

Take a short side trip from Waptus Pass to a small, shallow lake on the western end of Polallie Ridge.

Escondido Lake can be reached from many different trails. Pete Lake will give the most direct route, but Pollalie Ridge or Waptus River trail also make fine routes. The Escondido Lake trail climbs somewhat steeply above Escondido Creek to the shallow lake with a flowered meadow beyond it.
