The scenic Ellen Davis Trail goes on and off the street to connect the Burnt Bridge Creek Greenway Trail at Leverich Park to St. James Road. This muti-purpose trail, open from 7:00 a.m. to dusk, is mostly flat, but it does have a few steep switchbacks.
Follow the Burnt Bridge Creek as you pass through the historic Bonneville Power Administration gardens, the JD Ross Substation Complex and Douglas fir woods in the Minnehaha Neighborhood. The trail is named after local outdoor advocate, Ellen Davis (1905-1999), who hiked 10 miles a week even at the age of 94! The first 0.6 mile of the trail is paved and then becomes gravel. Don’t forget your leashed dog, as you will pass by the Ross Dog Park on the way.
