Hiking Dugualla State Park

The land encompassed by Dugualla State Park was acquired in 1992, when Washington State Parks bought the property to prevent it from being logged. It is now a quiet little state park at the north end of Oak Harbor.

It provides residents and visitors a lovely little area to explore; perfect for visitors of any ability.

There are six trails here, which weave together to create an appealing network to explore. This network includes more than a mile of shoreline walking, a wander through an alder grove or a wetland, and even a little bit of elevation gain, for those looking for a little bit of a heart rate increase.

The trails are well-signed, but bring a map. They are available at the Deception Pass Foundation's site.
